I am an avid reader of self help type books, but have never felt compelled to write a review until now. This book really opened my eyes! Family life today is crazy and most of us are simply trying to make it through the day. The last thing we want to deal with is a bullying issue. But, bullying is real and you are very likely fooling yourself if you believe that your kid is not on one side or the other of the bullying issue. Using the methods in this book, I was able to figure out that my oldest child was being bullied, and it helped me connect with my kids in a way I never considered. This book supports real solutions at home. It's about staying connected and engaged. Schools cannot effectively address the issue....it is an issue that requires engaged parents.Product details

A wakeup call for parents as this book reveals the existence of and how to identify bulling in families. It reveals the consequences of bullying and provides skills and tools to help reverse the pattern. A recommended read for everyone to help stop this epidemic in our society.
I read this book in just a few hours, because once I started it, I couldn't put it down. It is an easy, very informative read. It has opened my eyes to even the way I treat my husband, friends and family. We all can relate to being a bully or being bullied, and this book will open your eyes to being sympathetic to both people in any situation. I recommend this book to any parent, whether their child is a baby or 18 years old. It can prepare you for different obstacles you man run into as a parent for sure.
Not only is this book helpful with bullying issues, but it has really helped me and my family with the realization that we need more meaningful connections. The author is very realistic and to the point with readers about how we all need to face what's going on in our lives and pay more attention to our intuition towards not only our children but ourselves. I recommend this book to any parent or married couple for that matter. Whether you're thinking of having children, you are an educator to children, or you are in fact a parent yourself, I highly recommend sitting quietly while taking notes reading this inspiring guide to parenting.
Ok, this isn't your typical anti bullying book. The author deals with this issue from a rather overlooked perspective...spending mindful moments with your kids. We all know that there are school programs touting "stamp out bullying" and the like, and while these efforts are worthwhile, how effective are they? The author provides her experience on how she and her family dealt with bullies and bullying. If you have kids, this could be your family. It certainly mirrors many of my experiences. It's great to know that there are simple ways to help your kids deal with life's issues.
