Having read the previous five installments of the Saga of Roland Inness I was not disappointed by the sixth, Declan O’Duinne. Like the previous books, this one follows the two young knights, Roland and Declan, focusing on Declan as one would surmise from the title. It’s an entertaining read that avoids a formulaic, predictable end. Like the other editions of the Saga it has its share of close run battles and escapes and its characters are well developed and believable. Declan O’Duinne remains consistent with the Saga’s running themes of honor, loyalty, and devotion to family. I can think of no better Christmas or birthday present for any young man, or woman, in their early teens than the seven volumes of the Saga, capped off by Declan O’Duinne. And for the record, I am well beyond my early teens and I loved it.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE SERIES. BUT I SAY THAT EVERY TIME!
Just the kind of good story telling I've come to expect from Grant.
Grant has done a lot to provide more character development in this tale of Declan and his home country. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Loved it! For the period, it is right up there with Bernard...The Best.

The series is worth your time and money if you like the genre. (Bernard Cornwell, David Gilman, …) Each book in the series is better than the last.
A story of loyalty and friendship. A story of duty, forgiveness, love found and love lost. As well as new friends, new enemies and a story that must not end (yet).
Write on, kind Sir.....
This is a great series, and well written--this will appeal to many on different levels--a great medieval story, coming to terms with a great wrongdoing, revenge, love, family--something in here for most. Highly recommended.
