Kyra Lennon does a great job with her Game On series. Secondary characters become MCs in their own stories. In this one we follow Jesse as he takes a month to get over his slutty girlfriend from the first Game On book.

In Blindsided I liked the relationship build up between Jesse and Izabelle. Slow and steady. Attraction curbed with common sense. A breath of fresh air.

Cons. Every time we switched from Jesse's POV to Izabelle's we had a regurgitation of information that the reader would have already known from the previous POV. Books that mix two POVs have this issue sometimes, and if you set the book down and picked it back up, it would be fine... but you don't want a reader setting your book down. You want them to sit and read it, staying up until the sunrises to do it. This one part was a major turn off. The info dumps weren't once or twice, it became a noticeable problem.

While we get left with many of questions at the end of Book 2, I have no doubt Kyra Lennon will answer them in another book as Jesse takes his place once again as a secondary character, maybe even in his best friend Hunter's own story.

Nice story but I was left wanting a lot more from these characters.

I wanted to know what happened to Jesse's when be returned to LA.
I wanted to know if Jesse and Izzy stayed together long distance.
I wanted to know if Hunter and a Willow became more.
I wanted to know what happened to Georgia.

I want more!!!
This is book two in the Game On series and this one is so much different then the first one that you can easily read it with out reading the first one. I wouldn't suggest skipping the first on though their both superb books. This one we get back Jesse, the young soccer star from the first book and Isabelle a shy girl he meets in England on vacation. Jesse Shaw is a famous soccer player in the US, and he's looking for a fun vacation with his best friend Hunter. They fly to London where he can get away from the spotlight and from the bad memories Jesse's former girlfriend left him. The last thing he expected to do was fall for a girl. And one of Hunter's cousins at that! Isabelle Mills is the sweet and quiet twin. The boys don't notice her until Jesse comes to stay at her house. Their relationship blossoms until everything comes to a sudden halt with a horrible prank gone wrong. Jesse's career hangs in the balance, and Isabelle doesn't know if he can ever forgive her.

I'm blown away again by another one of Kyra Lennon's books. The story is sweet and full of the wonder of a new relationship. But it's the characters that hooked me. Jesse Shaw is unlike most of the arrogant Alpha males you see in romance. He's compassionate and genuine. Kyra does a terrific job of writing from his point of view making him honest and caring, but still one of the guys. Isabelle is the shy girl, feeling like she's in the shadow of her out-going twin. She's thoughtful and loyal, a young woman you can respect and wish your own daughter to model.

It's an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. Kyra paints vivid feelings that readers can relate to oh-so well. This book doesn't just tug at your heartstrings, but wraps around your heart like your favorite sweater and claims it.
Blindsided is the second book in the Game On series and you can't help but fall in love with Jesse and Isabelle. This one is written a little differently because you get to see the point of view of both main characters. Jesse and Isabelle (Jessabelle) I felt they needed a movie star couple name! (Not to be confused with the derogatory counterpart) Anyways, I really enjoyed this one. I think it's because Jesse is just an all around nice guy, and Isabelle is that shy, cute female that is so self-conscious about herself she can't see her own beauty!

I hate Leon and Mischa . . .
I love Hunter and Willow and Georgia . . .
And I absolutely adore Jesse and Isabelle.

Kyra knows how to draw the reader in and make them fall in love with the characters. You want to root for them, you want them to have that perfect love story fit for a movie screen. But every romance has to have it's problems or it wouldn't seem real. While Kyra does a fantastic job creating conflict, mystery, and drama for the main characters the only thing the reader has in the end is, SO WHAT HAPPENS? I want to know what happens to Jesse and Isabelle . . . do they work? Do they break up? Even in Sidelined you still are left wondering what happens to these two. So Kyra I guess you need to write another story D
Jesse Shaw takes a break from his athletic team and goes on vacation with his buddy Hunter to London. He promises not to hit on Hunter's cousins. Yeah, that lasts until he meets his cousin, Isabelle. She's shy and sweet, thinking no guy could honestly like her. Jesse does his best to prove he's a guy who treats her right. Things are going very well until they attend a party together and an accident risks everything Jesse has worked so hard for. He'll have to stay strong and find out the truth before he can decide if Isabelle is still the one he wants and if he can trust her.

"Blindsided" is a very sweet story! I loved the budding romance between Jesse and Isabelle. The characters were very well written and the story flowed very well. It was tense in parts, where you actually became very tense. I definitely fell in love with Jesse and he's probably my new book boyfriend. When I reached the end of the book, I was mad it was over. I wanted to read more about Jesse! This is a story that won't leave you after it's over. I found myself thinking about it all day long, just wondering and wanting to read it again.

I highly recommend this book! ) I can't wait to start the next one!
